General information

The World Iodine Association (WIA) organises its 2nd international conference Iodine in Food Systems, Health and Industrial Applications on 23 March 2020 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Scientists, academics, industry representatives and policy-driven organisations will gather to discuss various aspects of iodine in food, health and industrial uses, to present the state of iodine research in their fields and to illustrate the recent developments related to policies and strategies to prevent iodine deficiency implemented at global and regional level.

The conference addresses the challenge of prevention of iodine deficiency both from a scientific as well as a political perspective and promotes a multi-stakeholder approach towards sustainable prevention of iodine deficiency at global level.

The event will be held at the Landmark Bangkok Hotel, which is close to the airport and offers access to a wide range of city landmarks. The deadline for the registration to the conference is 1 March 2020.
