The World Iodine Association (WIA) hosts the WIA International Conference on Iodine in Food Systems and Health every two years, bringing together stakeholders from across the iodine community in different locations around the world. The conference provides a unique platform for scientists, public health experts, policymakers, healthcare professionals, industry representatives, and civil society to exchange knowledge, discuss the latest scientific and regulatory developments, and explore collaborative solutions to address iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) and promote sustainable iodine nutrition.
 
Beyond the biennial conference, WIA organizes and participates in events throughout the year, including policy discussions, scientific meetings, and stakeholder dialogues. These events help foster collaboration and raise awareness of the essential role of iodine in health, nutrition, and food systems.
